We'll briefly discuss the legal framework, describe key interpretive and practice issues, and discuss NAFSA’s recent liaison with the Department of State. Most importantly, we'd like to hear from you and de-brief the 2024 peak student visa application season. How did your prospective and returning students fare? What unanticipated challenges did they face? Did you see an increase in denials? What are the related interpretive and advising issues that you face? Could agency guidance or changes in agency policy help?
Please note that this is not a "how to" or "Q and A" webinar. Rather it is intended to be a community discussion of this complex regulatory practice issue and a sharing of perspectives, including insights, challenges, or concerns.
